Euler Hermes (“EH”), the world’s leading trade credit insurance provider, has been supporting Bibby Financial Services (Asia) (“BFS Asia”) since 2012 and working with the BFS Asia team in Hong Kong closely. The two companies have established a long-standing and friendly business relationship.
On a recent visit, EH presented a surprise gift - the Symbolic Adoption of a Young Chinese White Dolphin in the name of BFS Asia.
The Symbolic Animal Adoption programme is run by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which helps to raise funds to support WWF’s conservation efforts to save wildlife at risk and their habitats.
Maria Chung, Managing Director BFS Asia said, “It was a lovely surprise brought by EH, my colleagues and I are very happy that we are honoured to be involved in such a meaningful adoption programme!”
Chinese white dolphins are beloved by the Hong Kong people because of its pink colour and friendly characteristics. However, it has been facing a number of threats in recent years: overfishing, water pollution and heavy marine traffic, along with coastal development spanning the Pearl River Estuary, bringing negative impacts to the dolphins’ habitat and population.
